Not voting cause I would have to do out-of-state voting and I live in a red state. So, doubly pointless.

couldn't there be a poll so we could see what az's political beliefs are? (altho i imagine most will vote for obama)

fun factarooney: there was a poll here (in the UK) and 70% percent of people said they'd vote for Obama (including tories) which is kinda interesting imo. I know the general public won't be as clued up on American politics as those who live in the USA but Mitt is just seen as kinda crazy here and unpopular since he infamously said that the british olympic games wouldn't work and the final nail in the coffin is when he insulted the monarchy which is just a big no no

They might still be sore with Obama over that whole "invading our country and assassinating a terrorist leader without asking us first" thing.

My dad has been campaigning for a friend running for Auditor. My mom was one of the longest employed in the Auditor's Office until the current one fired her because she was Republican and nearing the option of retiring, he is known to do that to Republicans, always with a crap excuse. Little did he know my dad is my dad. My mom threatened handicap discrimination and is now in the Treasurer's office.
I mention this because my dad told the current Auditor he'd get him out of office for that, and it looks like that may be true. Even though this town is Democratic out the wazoo because of the college, my dad has been able to uncover about 4 or 5 scandals involving County credit cards being used personally, bias in office, horrible tax/property screw ups covered up and more.
Honestly, I could not care less about the national election, both candidates aren't going to do anything, my local election seems so wrought with drama and everything, I am excited for the results. (Also my dad has done so well with the campaign some senators and the like are befriending him and he might be able to do more next election)
All in all, I voted for Johnson, because, as I said, doesn't matter who wins, same crap different name.

I considered voting for a third party member, but the idea of Romney getting elected makes me feel so upset that I voted Obama. Even though I'm just one vote, I could affect the result of Washington's electoral college.

Also, when I dropped off my ballot today some lady tried to tell me that Obama was a communist. I didn't think anyone still actually believed that.

My college doubled as a voting center today and I ended up having to wait for a class near one of the voting locations

Me and another guy started talking about Voting only to have some guy tell us to shut up because apparently you're not allowed to talk about elections near elections

You're totally allowed to talk about elections, it would be pretty hard not to. You're just not allowed to do any campaigning or trying to convince anyone to vote for someone in particular.

My mom is like that. No matter how close to election time it is, the minute I bring up anything vaguely political she gets very angry at me.

I think it's because my opinions are different from her opinions and she hates that. My dad is the same way, but he will debate with me a little bit before blowing up because I have a counter for every one of his arguments.

I think it is also because Obama apparently is really good with foreign policy, and everyone is afraid that Romney will be garbage at it. I can't really pull a source, though, so don't quote me on that.

I'm really worried about this election. If Romney wins, I might have tons of problems, I can't find a job right now and I'm living on the government support that Romney wants to cut. If he wins I could end up in a dark cold house. Thankfully my home is paid off.

Me and my family apart from my dad and my younger sister are illegal immigrants. Romney has skirted around his immigration policy so I'm not 100% on what he wants to do, and I wish I could vote because Obama passed the 2 year deferral and the work permit that I'm going to apply for as soon as I get the cheddar that's required for when you send the applications.

The county I live in is so red it hurts, my sister told me that they had a mock election in her class and it was overwhelmingly Romney because so many of the kids just blindly follow their parent's political views without trying to think for themselves.
