I don't think you understand mafia. the point of the game is to GUESS who is mafia and who isn't. He can't prove that he's innocent unless he claims power role, in which case, is a death sentence anyway.

Since people were voting for dragoon anyway (why even?) and random told me to too, I'll go with it. We've got nothing else to go by anyway.

I understand mafia fine, namely the fact that the mafia usually works to make random lynchings work to their favor, either by bandwagoning on a random lynch that doesn't affect them, or actively sending the town to go after certain townies.

And keep in mind, getting Dragoon to talk before lynching them can yield more information, and in the event that they are a power role, we can at least make the mafia kill them off rather than doing the dirty work for them.

There's no real reason to lynch Dragoon before they have a chance to defend their innocence, besides making the day pass by quicker.

I'm for him at least getting to say something before we just kill him to death.
Problem is, he can just say whatever he wants, that if he's guilty after dying he was miller (framed townie or what was it called this game?) or that he's X powerrole. If he doesn't die next night people might think he lied and lynch him anyway. Mafia knows that too (and used that multiple times in past games with varying success but meta is forbidden whoops).
What I'm trying to say is, what he says and what happens the night after is something to take into account but not a guilty or innocent verdict.

Yeah, because defending a mafia who was clearly going to be lynched with no way to credibly back up my claim would have gone really well.
