Actually Aff is more like, Curse of Elements, haunt, BoA, corr, UA, refresh whats needed, then either SB or drain life as filler (SB becomes way better once you get the t12 bonus), then drain soul when target is below 20% still not that complicated though.

never drain life filler anymore, they nerfed it cause its not supposed to be a filler. only use it like that if you are dying and want to save the healers mana

also CoE is assumed to be up, unless you are an idiot.

oh btw, its 25% not 20

I couldn't decide what class I should roll as a main and got told that the guild use a lock or rogue, so I figured I'd roll either one of those as a gnome. Mained a gnome rogue in WotLK but I really can't decide whether I should try something new (last time I played a lock was as an alt in TBC) or a class I like but have already played a lot of.

Warlocks have frustratingly complex rotations at 85; but so do rogues. Locks have more utility in a group, but rogues dish out more damage (generally).

However, since either one will be a gnome, you'll be fine.

How much different is it from 80? I've been through ulduar as a combat rogue and generally been in the top dps with a sinister + snd + evi rotation.
Decided to roll a rogue anyway and am downloading the trial client atm, I'll spend an hour deciding my char's outlook and name anyway, since Mete on Eonar is taken by some lvl 2 warr. Was there a way to ask Blizz to make a name available?

I assume it wouldn't be all that different from 80. SnD has to be up 100% of the time, though. Check out the rogue forums on the actual website or WoW insiders rogue columns; both are pretty daisies good.

My launcher's suddenly forcing me to download 2.6 GB. Gigantic hotfix? Is anyone else getting this?

First, they peramently banned Swifty because he unintentionally crashed one server, then intentionally crashed 2 more.

And then, after a public outcry (that did nothing), and a talk from Razor Computer accessories, he's unbanned.

So as long as you guys have a sponsor, you can do anything you want in WoW!

Okay so I just rolled a gnome rogue
and I have the fp to SW by default? Like, they give you the fps to all major cities now?
Lvl 10 nelves don't have to run through the swamp and dodge lvl 20 alligators anymore?
Just, why

To make early levels, you know, enjoyable.

I dare you to tell me that running all the way to Ironforge was fun as a night elf. Or to Orgrimmar as a Tauren.

Of course it wasn't, but it was kind of an achievement on its own, I don't like how the game holds your hand nowadays when you start playing

You could always do it the old fashioned way, nobody's forcing you to use FP's.

On your first character? Maybe, probably not.

On your third character? Hell no.

Every character after? Screw it, I'm rolling a human.
