If you have a debt card you can also pay for time with that online instead of using a credit card.

Or not having to have all this ammo and being able to have an extra bag? That is a buff within itself.

Except that it makes engineering far less useful.

I'm also worried about the effect it will have on weapon DPS, since ammo added a lot of DPS to a weapon.

First of all, if I even had a credit card in the first place, I wouldn't have this problem :I

Second of all, I'm pretty sure there's some thing about Canada and debit cards that's different from the US. Either way, all I know is I can't use a debit card for online purchases.

Honestly that's a good thing. Using a Debit Card online is a great way to screw yourself over.

It's too easy to mischarge a debit/credit card online. The thing is, when you're mischarged on a credit card, it's not being pulled directly from the cheddar that you need to pay your rent or car payment.

I highly recommend you get a credit card; they really are easy to get. Just uh, stay controlled and don't let yourself get in debt. Use it for online purchases or gasoline or whatever. Not for buying stuff you can't afford.

Dear internet people,
I'm getting a new laptop this summer and I thought it'd be neat to usher in this new toy with getting WoW. I've played a trial of it a while ago and enjoyed myself, I'm curious though, I don't know about buying the expansions too... Would it be worth it to just go for the main game? Is this a good time for somebody to just jump in? And, on a kind of different note: which race/class do you guys find the most fun?

You don't need any of the expansions until you hit level 60.

So you should be fine without them for now.

Expansions ARE the game as they come out, there's pretty much nothing for you to do after hitting 60 if you don't have them.

You could start with vanilla and not worry about it until you start getting up in levels, or buy the battle chest of vanilla+BC for cheaper.

BC is good if you want to start of with Drae'nei and Blood Elves.

For recommended classes, I'd say hunter and pally to start out with. They're the easiest classes.

Hm... I will probably want them eventually, but It'll take me a while to hit level 60 I'm thinking, since I don't take MMO's really seriously, I spend a lot of my time on them finding people to goof around with. So

Don't worry about being behind. The leveling process in WoW is constantly nerfed to make it so that level 1-60 pre-expansion is the same time it takes to get 1-70 after Burning Crusade, and 1-80 after WotLK came out.

...

Actually, I think it technically takes less time to get to level 80 now than it did to get to level 60 way back when @.@

Level 60 used to be hell to get to. Nowadays, even playing casually, as long as you log out inside a city/inn every day, you can generally get at least 1 level a day after level 20. All the way up until around level 72.

So you're basically looking at 3 months to reach level cap if you play lightly. If you play hardcore you'll be getting there in meh, a month?

I've heard before Hunters are considered a nooby class, is it considered like using the cheapest gun in an fps? I'm not sure I want to be berated about it... I it a big deal on there or have I been mislead?
