I did a bunch of dungeons with Odds and Dirges yesterday, but it was really late and I was really tired so I barely even remember the whole thing.

I assume I did moderately bad.

The difference between BM and SV seems really big. It's like playing a whole different class.

It very nearly is. BM relies heavily on physical damage, while SV deals out a lot of magic damage. Marks is a mix between the two.

Wait, magic damage?

Does it still go under "ranged attack power" or should I start stacking spell power?

It's magic damage that's affected by your ranged attack power. Like how a DK's spells get better from their attack power.
Also, advice on gemming for the three hunter specs(After you're hit capped, that is. It's 4% for pvp and something else for pve, last I checked):
BM: Agility til you reach 400 armor pen, then only gem armor pen
Marks: Agility til 900 armor pen, then gem armor pen
SV: Agility always and forever

EDIT: In pvp marks, gem Spell Pen til you get 25 or 50
PvP survival, gem it til you get 50-75
it helps a lot

EDITEDIT: Armor Pen does jack in pvp, for the most part.

DO NOT STACK SP AS A HUNTER.

people get mad, its sometimes funny to piss people off doing that though.

I think Surv is still the end-game raiding spec. MM is PVP, and BM is PVE and PVP, I think.

Surv is good without gear, but MM really shines when you're in gear ilvl 232 or better. BM is rather subpar in both pve and pvp, unless you're doing Beast Cleave.

more like we dragged you along while you were forced to listen to dirges and I bicker at each other the whole time and also endure my lack of articulating the English language.

More like you had to listen to me be terrible at talking to people in general while I sucked at hunter so badly I'm surprised it didn't create a rift in space-time.

But let's stop before this turns into a "who has lower self-esteem" competition.

So apparently I should have been running ToC normal instead of embarrassing myself in random heroics all day.

Who knew.
