So, how is it coming along for those who have it?

Final boss is approx 15-18 hours in and he's a fucking whore...

Not that far in yet, the beginning is really slow. Long intro telling the main events of 1 and 2, and a ton of talking during the 'tutorial'. But the battle graphics are very good and the actual battles are fast and fun. Made even more so with the awesome summons.

If by skip everything you mean accidentally wander past the third point of no return, then yes ;-;

I'm play The Lost Age AAAAAAAAHHH and I'm in the Jupiter Lighthouse AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH. But I bought GS:SS AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH (daisies eco cases I swapped it with a old case so I could put the first game in it.), and you might as well call this Golden Sun General or something.

I've heard good things about it, but also heard some complains...

mostly the points of no returns and the fact that you only explore Angara and the Eastern Sea...just like in the first one...except without the sea part...

HRMMM, POSSIBLE GS4 IN THE HORIZON? 3DS PLZ.

I didn't know about the points of no return until it was too late. I'm using a djinn guide for my second run.
Also, what djinn setup do you guys normally use? I chose to just give everyone their opposite type djinn.
Also also, I'm waiting for someone out there to find the code to name your party.

I've always give my party members thier Djinn on basis on thier type of element.

Venus to Venus
Mars to Mars
etc.

Even though I KNOW there are better classes, I just cant be bothered.

currently playing the first Golden Sun and I'm at Mercury Lighthouse. Epic Saturos theme is just some floors ahead.

I beat the first game without using summons, in fact I didn't know there were summons other than using Djinn in battle. I tank and spanked the final boss to death, it was so easy I didn't know it WAS the final boss. Started using them in TLA, much easier.

Also...

I'm getting this for Christmas, I've heard a lot of people say it's easy but I hope they're exaggerating or that seeing as I often fail at video games it is more difficult for me.

The game is really easy...

In fact, you can kill almost every boss in the game with summons alone...

Right now I have like 5 party members and what I do is make Tyrell and Matthew into Savages(Which basically requires 4 Fire on Matthew and 4 Earth on Tyrell) while Amiti and Karis are Scholars(4 Wind on Amiti and 4 Merc on Karis) and I don't really care about Rief at this point.

This setup works pretty well during the Ayuthay/Passaj quests portion of the game as I believe Savage has the best offensive stats at this point while Scholars have Impact+Wish series.

But in general, I avoid assigning purely the same type of Djinn to the corresponding Adept.
