Thats quite cheap. Can I buy the expansions one at a time? Does every one give you free playing time or is that just the first one?

You can buy the expansions one at a time, and you could during the sale if I recall. I'm pretty sure the sale is over, but you could always wait and see if they do something for Christmas.

I'm 90% certain it's only the core game that gives you a free month.

The expansions do not give you a free month.
also, since youre considering getting the game, I would highly suggest doing a Recruit a Friend, if you know anyone who already plays

So I have a bit of a long story here; I decided I would go come back for the Cataclysm after giving up the game after my best guild tore itself apart right before we could kill the Lich King in Wrath.

I re-enabled my account a few days before Cata was to be released, and decided to go start farming up some Bilgewater rep on my Shaman. Before I could get started, an old guildmate asked for some help with a quest on his ~50 druid, and so I would not have to move my shaman, I switched to my priest to go help him.

I didn't realize at first they had changed Inner Fire to be a single stack deal, and didn't think twice at the ~30 stacks I had still going on that toon from before The Shattering, until I killed a mob with the talented Devouring Plague on-apply damage in a single shot. (10k crit on a mob with like, 8k, and even then I didn't notice the stacks until I hearthed back to Dalaran) And then I looked at my stat screen.

I thought of all the things I could mess with...

But, before I could lay a god-like finger on anything, I disconnected. When I got back on, my Priest was dead and had lost the ridiculously powerful stack of Inner Fire. Oh well. At least I didn't go and get myself banned.

Also, My shaman is Demizatzu (85 now) of the third-world realm that is Gnomeregan, if anyone was interested. Priest is Nostalgic (Still 80, whoops I'm lazy).

Only 24 more Blacksmithing skill and I'll be able to make my damned shield. It requires so much farming though for just 5 points of skill... :shakefist:

Okay, so I decided to get Cata now. Since I'll be playing Worgen, I need some help from you Alliance players:
I usually play Horde, and I had a few Alli chars, but I never got very far. What I want to know from you are the leveling places. It would be nice if you could tell me where to go from the starter area, or atleast from lvl 20+ because I never had a clue where to go after that. I think I should be fine again when I reach Tanaris, but otherwise I'm lost.

Darkshore ===> Ashenvale ===> Stonetalon Mountains ===> Desolace ===> Feralas ===> Thousand Needles

OR

Darkshore ===> Ashenvale ===> Stonetalon Mountains ===> Southern Barrens ===> Dustwallow Marsh ===> Thousand Needles

OR

Wetlands ===> Arathi Highlands ===> Hinterlands ===> Western Plaguelands ===> Eastern Plaguelands

OR

Duskwood ===> Northern Stranglethorn ===> Cape of Stranglethorn ===> Badlands ===> Searing Gorge

All of them are correct to my knowledge, although the bottom one is a bit shaky... Badlands is a 35-40 zone now, isn't it? Of the 4, I'd suggest the Southern Barrens and Dustwallow Marsh route. I really enjoyed both of those zones.

They added breadcrumb quests at the end of all zones when 4.0.1 hit so that you're not lost as to where to level up next. I don't think you'll have a problem finding places to level. There's also the Heroes' Board in the Capitals that have breadcrumb quests as well.
