The Pokemon anime has always sucked, everything except the concept was fucked from the beginning.

People should have realized the pokemon anime' was bad the minute they noticed all the pokemon communicated by saying their own names over and over.

Why the hell did anyone think that was a good thing to put in the show? It's not like they did that in the game.

BUT TO BE ON TOPIC
I've never seen Futurama, but from what I've heard about it, I can see why people would be very upset about this development.

Well, which makes for better dialogue:
"Poooochyena pooch pooch!"
or
"Arf arf arf!"

In other words, it gives the Pokemon more character, allows for better expression of emotion, and doesn't really have an actual downside.

If they wanted better dialogue, they could have given them subtitles like during the Island of Giant Pokemon. But I know, I know, kids can't read.

It turned into a fucking sitcom with all the standard sitcom crap. The Farnsworth Paradox and The Devil's Hands(?) are the only exceptions.

anyway, back to futurama. they wont go through with it. obviously they're pissing off so many people just suggesting to do it. if they went through with it, the whole thing would be cancelled in a day.

Pokemon are animals! They're not meant to be able to talk, goddamnit! This is something that would be largely considered as common sense!
